I don't know who left the review by chinesemenu 2010-10-01 but, to have that many negative comments and say you have been going there 13 years doesn't sonud right. Over the past 7 years I have eaten at Oriental Express during lunch (usual and at various times) and to take home to my family for supper and I have never expierenced the negativity he/she describes. The food is excellent, the servcie is great, everyone is treated equally, and no matter when I go in or who is working, the service is the same, excellent.

I've been going to this joint for 13 years. I typically take lunch after the lunch hour rush. In most cases, I typically have to turn around and leave because the food has dried up and turned to bricks in their pans. The steamed rice is generally crunchy around 3pm, as well. I typically don't have time to wait for the food to be cooked.
When food is cooked, it is fresh. The broccoli is always crunchy. The meat is tender. The sauces are Americanized. Since the food is fresh, there are times of the year when you won't find it being served because it is out of season.
If the owner's wife is working when you come, everything will be outstanding. Even if you have to wait for food to be cooked, she will give you an extra helping of food or a larger soup. She favors repeat customers with larger servings. If she is not there, expect to be disappointed.

We've been going to Oriental Express for about 15 years. We travel all over the USA and they are still our favorite chinese restaurant. If you have to wait in line for over 2 minutes, it is very unusual. The service is impeccable and when I'm in a hurry, I can always count on them to get me in & out in a jiffy. Food is always good. Never had a bad experience there in the whole 15 years. The owners are awesome. It's always clean and the decor is awesome.

Oriental Express has the best kung pao chicken I have found. The people are very friendly and serve generous portions. I would say this is the best chinese restauraunt in Huntsville, AL.

Great food, fast service, lovely people working there. If you have eaten there more than twice, they remember what you like and how you like it. The owners are hardworking, really nice people who care about their customers. Oh, yes, they have been taking credit cards for several months now.
Definitely our ONLY Chinese restaurant in Huntsville, as far as we are concerned. Our son comes in from out of town and always has to have a meal there; it was his favorite place when he was a teenager!

The food is good, good prices, and fast. One draw back, they only take cash. No credit cards, atm, debit cards or local checks. Cash is great-if you have some on you at the time. So, if you go make sure to have cash on hand. ...?

Oriental Express is the olny chinese restaurant I will eat at in Huntsville. Its Awesome! You can really count on the food being good and great service. I would highly suggest this is the best place you will find Huntsville.?
